Pinky Larue

PINKYIt was with much sadness and regret that I returned Pinky to the animal shelter Sunday. I keep the words that my friend Debbie wrote " think of your home as a foster home till the right placement comes along". I will hold on to those words.

Just wanted to say that you are on my mind and in my heart. It was a difficult emotional place to be in. I would have done the same with Emma's needs in mind.

On Friday Pinky quietly attached Emma. Emma endured another seizure and I thought I was going to lose her. It became apparent that I could no longer protect her and Pinky was not going to change, no matter how hard I tried. My priorty was and is to keep Emma safe for however long she is with us. It was very difficult for me to return Pinky, but it was the right thing to do.

Good luck Pinky and enjoy your freedom Emma! I bet her love for Winslow Homer just went up ten fold!!

Dear Julie, that is such a tough decision to have to go through with, but I think the right one. I guess Pinky would be best in a home without other animals, I'm sure she find a loving home, she such a gorgeous cat! I'm thinking of you and your hubby too.

Thanks RR and Jenny my heart is sad today, but having supportive blog friends sure helps.

I am sorry that you had to make that decision and say goodbye to her for Emma's sake. Pinky is a beautiful cat and will make a great pet for someone. Being a responsible pet owner is such a difficult, emotional thing to be.

Ah, Julie...I'm sorry that it didn't work out. It's certainly not because your big heart wasn't in the right place.

Oh! How sad! I wish I could have Pinky. But know that you did what is right for Emma!

Poor Pinky. Hopefully she'll be adopted by a family who has a younger cat that likes to play. It sounds like she needs some activity.

Such a sweet picture.
