IT'S HERE!

Finally, the surprise for the girls arrived on Saturday. Winslow was the first to inspect the arrival, just to let you know he was not impressed- I on the other hand was very excited.
Pip, my lovely girl you are to be my first victim, um
let me rephrase that, my first student- okay how about model.
Now girls, be patient everyone
will have a turn in due time.

Wait till you see it, it's quite pretty- if I do say so.
That's correct, one day soon you'll be walking through this door

Really, I'm not kidding you'll be able to listen to Imus In The Morning with me, maybe share a bowl of oatmeal, yes you can have blueberries too.
Ta Da......
Yes that's right a diaper! now aren't you impressed? But girls it has flowers on it....
Girls where did ya go, Pip oh Pip.....
Oh Pip my pretty girl you'll look lovely in black, I promise.

  6. Oh, how I'm giggling,... waiting for the post of one of the girls modeling. As a kid I used to brink my pet hen into my bedroom,.. my mother had a fit, rightfully so! But they are such good friends!

  11. It's official Julie, you've lost it. LOL!

I've never even heard of such a thing. I'm with the other ladies ... this is going to be some good entertainment! Is your husband laughing yet?

  12. Ok, Julie, I'm laughing! But also I'm laughing at myself, as I'm seriously thinking I need one of these! I have a chicken with a broken toe living in my house right now - the toe is taped straight, the others will peck her if she's in the coop with them, and my husband is away. If he was home he'd section off a portion of the coop for her. But not me, I have work to go to, no time to deal with the chicken drama. Meanwhile, I have a hen in my bathroom. Every morning & every night I have to clean the bathroom floor. I'll take a diaper in small (the pullet is only 3 months old). I will have to go lookup "My Pet Chicken" right now!

  14. They think of everything these days, don't they? :) There was a time in my past where we could have used chicken diapers! And maybe in my future as I hope (hope, hope) to have more chickens this year. And there's always one or more who needs some TLC on occasion, right? What a cute post.. love it! -Tammy

  17. Now this I gotta see...

Just how often do you have to change the diaper? How much poop do they hold? Inquiring minds want to know. I'm just speakin' for all of us. C'mon everybody, you know you ALL want to know!

  18. Any regrets on the diaper? I'm going to do it - get a chicken diaper, too. I'm tired of cleaning up chicken poop from this recovering hen of mine. She now lives in my bathroom. It can't hurt to have a diaper on hand for the future, either, after she moves back outside. Thanks for the info, please let me know how it's working out for you!
