Winter in Maine...you either love it or hate it...this morning's temperature...five below zero...the key to outdoor happiness...dress in layers...take up a winter activity that puts you smack in the middle of mother nature and all her beauty...winter hiking...snowshoeing...Nordic skiing...ice fishing...ice skating...
but most importantly... have a sense of humor...I guarantee spring will return as will the black flies...Goodnight from Maine...
love it Julie!
ReplyDeleteLove the photo of Travis:) Your Maine winters would be fine with me, it's the grey, dark, wet miserable weather that is often our lot in the UK that can take a bit of getting through.
ReplyDeleteToo funny! Aren't the new Binky's funny. Travis is as sweet as ever.
ReplyDeleteI agree, if you dress for the cold, it will be o.k. to venture out in the Winter fresh air.......What a handsome little man, you put a smile on my face Julie.....how cute is Travis.......Warm Blessings Francine.
ReplyDeleteI would be one of those that would hate it, I am not a cold weather person!! The picture sure put a smile on my face this morning!! Thanks for sharing!!

Laughter fixes everything! And, so does cuteness! ;-)
ReplyDeleteHe is such a gooooood baby and love the binkie.
ReplyDeleteHahahahahaha, that photo sure warmed me up.
ReplyDeleteSo cute. What pretty eyes. Yes, I have often thought that Julie, in order to enjoy the cold you must have something fun to do outside in it.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are enjoying your cold days.
Oh such a distinguished young gentleman.
ReplyDeleteThe girls will find him irresistible.
It helps if you have someone to play with in the snow to make the winter blues go away. It that doesn't work, one can always wear rosy glasses.
Take care.
Hugs.
JB
I forgot, your grandson really needs a little top hat. Just too cute.

Julie,
ReplyDeleteI live in Minnesota so I'm with you on how to survive cold. My favorite activities are dog sledding, X country skiing, sledding, and snowshoeing; and breathing in the brisk air. I absolutely love the light in the winter and how it reflects off the snow during dusk, and how the snow changes from bright white to lavender; I'm originally from Mass. and have lived in MN for over 20 years. I have learned to live in the subzero and like it. But you are right the key to surviving and liking extreme cold weather is to take up a winter sport. It keeps your head clear.
Donna.

ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet boy! So glad I got to finally meet him.
