~WICKED WEATHER~

These photos are of the storm before the storm...it has been snowing most of the day here in Southern Maine...schools were closed and many businesses ended their day early... roads are slick... a nineteen vehicle pileup occurred this morning, thankfully no one was seriously injured...blizzard conditions are predicted  for late this evening and lasting into the day tomorrow, in other words the worst is yet to come...tonight the wind will howl... a wind driven snow will fall... which will be measured in feet not inches...the plow is on the truck, the snow blower hums as Mr. Dog Trot makes his way to the coop...  it is winter in New England...
The chickens  are safely tucked in their coop and are given an evening treat...Winslow Homer stays close to the warmth of the wood stove...and Sadie lazes  on the living room couch...All is good here at Dog Trot Farm...
Tonight, if you are in the path of this storm, be safe and smart and remain indoors...if you need toilet paper improvise...

    lol! We have PLENTY of toilet paper! And coffee... the two most important staples for a storm... :-) Safe and warm in my home stitching the storm away... wishing all the same to you!

    I am worried about you folks out there...it sounds like this storm is one to be reckoned with! Being stranded at home is one thing.... but to go out for TP?... oh yeah... good idea to keep an old catalog around!

    I hope you are all safe and your extended family. The weather reports coming out of there make is sound horrible...3 FEET of snow expected before both colliding storms leave!

    I wondered how you were faring in the storm. Stay safe, stay warm. I LOVE snowstorms but don't enjoy being without power. I hope yours stays on and that the only thing left to remember the storm is the beautiful images left after it's over.

    It looks so blizzardy. I wish I could be in one. I would love to hear the wind blow and the snow fall.

    ALl I can is, crikey, that looks tough, makes me feel glad that we all we are having is just a lot of wetness. We don't have much snow here, although are close to the Pyrenees mountains which do, and for the sake of our animals I am glad of that. Stay warm.

    Wow! I've been hearing about this blizzard on the national news the last couple of days... having always lived in Seattle, I don't know what that's like. You sound well prepared and experienced in fierce winter weather.
