THE CALM BEFORE THE STORM

There is a Northeaster heading our way, a rain storm bringing heavy winds and downpours. It is to begin this evening and continue throughout the day tomorrow.
With wind and rain heading our way the once beautiful October foliage will become nothing but a faded memory. Winslow and I decided to take advantage of today's weather and take a walk through our woods, enjoying all the sights and sounds that Fall has to offer.
There is such beauty all around us, we do ourselves such a disservice by not taking the time to truly "look" and enjoy all the gifts God has given us.
If you get a chance get out in the crisp Autumn air, enjoy the scenery, but hurry before it's to late.

You take the best photos. I do hope the storm leaves a few leaves on the trees.

This is why everyone talks about Fall in New England. How beautiful it is. You are so right, we go through our days so fast we don't stop and enjoy all the gifts we've been given.

Such beautiful photos! Love those dark skies and orange/red trees.

I think we'll still have some leaves left over after the nor'easter. Many of our tree's have just started to change!

Julie your pictures are beautiful this morning! Love those dark rolling low hanging clouds above those trees all decked out in their fall dresses!! Hope all is well this morning. MissouREE is confused about the Fall season and is going to be 80 degrees and then is going to be 60 degrees mid-week. It's a roller coaster and we are just trying to ride it! Jeans, boots, long sleeves in the morning-shorts by afternoon. Eh!

Thankfully we survived with our power intact, as a matter of fact I must have slept through the wind if we had any early this morning, I just heard wind. I think it was worse a little further up the coast. Hope things are okay at your home.
