I entered a blog giveaway, the blog being Millie's Mats. Kim, proprietor of Millie's Mats, was celebrating her 50th follower and the beautiful Fall season. I did not win, that honor went to Pix over at Rural Rambles. I did however become the recipient of a second giveaway. A silk satchel filled with festive pumpkins, napkins, and a sweet little mat hooked by Kim arrived at Dog Trot Farm. How exciting.

Beautiful! I love the colors and the design.
Oh I just LOVE that little mat! I've so wanted to do that kind of rug making - it's on the bucket list. It sure looks like it goes good with your other decor. Will a kitty use it!?
What a lovely package to find in your mailbox!
One of my Cape Breton aunts is a rug hooker and I live in hope that she'll send me one someday!
So glad you like it. It is kind of fun to see one of my rugs in another blog!
Enjoy.
Kim
It looks so nice with your lovely pumpkin pillows. She did a really nice job. Did you ever finish that one you were doing of the farm scene? It was about the time of your month long Migraine. I still think about that as I was so new to blogging and after having them for so long too it just shocked me that you could have went through Christmas with one that never went away.
I had one last week for two days and I don't know how you could have took it.
It all looks so pretty.
I am so drawn to those types of rugs and wall hangings, I am going to learn how to do them if it kills me. Congrats!!
That mat is so precious. Love the pumpkin pillows too. Can I just move in with you? LOL

Hello Julie!
What a wonderful package to find in your mailbox...congratulations on your win! That little hooked mat is adorable...I love the pattern and colors. One day I'm going to try my hand at something like that. I'm happy to see that Pix won the other prize...she's such a nice person. I hope your weather has cleared up and that tomorrow you enjoy some sunshine.
Take care.

Good Morning Julie! We were/are lucky gals! Looks like Kim hooked mats that fit in with the colors in our homes too. Hope you are having some nice weather there in Dog Trot Farm country and if your stuck inside I hope your cookin' or bakin' something that we get to see! Or hookin'!!
SOOOOO FUN!!!!
So sweet! I love it all. Who said no one wants to be second? That is a lovely gift.

I have to learn how to hook a rug. It would be so rewarding to know that I made something so lovely. Congrats on your little mat!
Oh, I do love the hooked mat! As soon as my hand heals from surgery, I am going to start rug hooking again! It should be excellent therapy! I love autumn motifs!
Just wanted to thank you for your kind words on my wreath and Thanksgiving wishes. I love the rug by the way. I dabbled in rug hooking when I was younger and loved it :)
