MAPLE SYRUP SUNDAY

Tomorrow is Maine Maple Syrup Sunday.... A day when the public is invited to visit sugar houses located throughout the State of Maine and learn first hand the process of sugaring. From tapping the maple tree....to collection....and boiling... any and all questions are are invited. Tomorrow the fragrance of sweet maple syrup will be thick in the cool spring air....many sugar houses offer a traditional pancake breakfast along with samples of sweet maple syrup served on vanilla ice cream....a local favorite. Tomorrow....find your mud boots....gather your family together....and head out for a day of decadent delight....Maine maple syrup....it's a good thing!

My great uncle used to have a sugar woods. I used to love collecting the sap from the tin buckets wih him. And pouring the hot maple on the snow. So much fun.

I hope you get out and enjoy it too, Julie! Ours was last week-end, though with the temps as the are the local guys are still collecting sap and boiling.

Julie I think I am going to ask CH to makes his wonderful pancakes when he gets up so I can put Maple syrup on them. Before we start and finish PAINTING!!!!

I'm in Massachusetts and the sap is flowing. Girl Scouts are collecting sap from the trees by the library. Will give the maple syrup to a food bank - isn't that the nicest thing? Support your local farmers and buy direct!

I love maple syrup. The real syrup. Not the artifical. Hard to find in Mississippi.
