APPLE BLOSSOM TIME

I sit in the shadow of apple-boughs, In the fragrant orchard close, and around me floats the scented air,

With it's wave-like tidal flows, I close my eyes in dreamy bliss,

And call no king my peer;

For is not this the rare, sweet time,

The blossoming time of year?

Lovely!
Our apple trees began to blossom last weekend. That's late for us, but I'm enjoying them and hoping that there will be enough bees to pollinate this year.

How wonderful to have apple tree blossoming. It brings back sweet memories of when I was a young girl and the apple trees were loaded with scented blossoms. JB

Nothing like blooming apple trees! The trees are beautiful! How many trees do you have? I just love apple trees. The poem is wonderful too.

Apple blossom looks and smells wonderful - I haven't had much apple blossom this year other than on the crab apples. Had a very heavy crop last year though so they may be resting.
