SO.....

So... I said to my husband "honey...gulp... my cell phone is not working" his reply "charge it and if it is still not working in the morning I'll take it in on my way home from work." I dare not tell him it went through the wash...how naive could I be thinking the cell phone company would not be able to detect my phone had been wet. Long story short...my husband walked through the door that afternoon with a new cell phone in his hand and a smile on his face...."it appeared your phone had somehow gotten wet"...so I confessed my story....got a replacement phone for free...had I known about the rice trick I certainly would have given it a try...cause I felt really...really...stupid...that is untill my husband said "have you seen my company gas card?" and then I didn't feel so bad....Have a great day everyone!

Sounds as though 'just one of those days' turned out OK in the end:)

Glad you are back in business with your phone, we have the replacement insurance for just that reason!

I hope you are enjoying this wonderful weather.....I've been playing outside. I'm still suffering from withdrawals on the days that I don't get to sew, LOL. I just need to get some things taken care of in the yard, I hope to post about them soon!

Enjoy today :0)

I glad that you got a new phone. My friend dropped hers in the toilet. This happened on two separate occasions to her. She had it clipped on her belt. Her phone fizzled. I don't think that rice woud fix that problem. JB

That has happened in my house with cell phones too. I have also washed the channel changer for my bedroom tv because I left it in the bed when I shut the tv off at night, strip the bed on Saturday morning and there you go.....

O.K call me crazy I know it is I don't use a cell phone. I know it would be so good but unforunately in my early days of working I worked at Directory assistance Pac bell and that cured me of wanting to be on a phone when I am out.Eight hours a day and people asking for phone numbers,Yuk Lol

Glad you got a new phone pronto. Even though I still have a land line (not sure why), I am very dependent on my cell phone. I feel naked without it.
Mine took a quick swim in the loo a while back. I did do the rice thing and thankfully it was okay. I'm having problems now and need to get a new one. Just not sure if I want to bite the bullet and pay for the iphone.
Hugs :)

Too funny! Did you know you could put it in a bag of rice for 24 hrs. to revive it? It works!

Have a great one!
