SPRING FEVER

Please indulge me for I have spring fever...If the day sports sunshine you will find me in the garden along with my sidekick Winslow Homer...my chore list is overwhelming...but I do not despair...for the sound of spring has officially arrived at Dog Trot Farm...even though his nose is a little out of joint...Winslow Homer would like to officially introduce you to LORETTA...one spunky little "peep" who now calls Dog Trot Farm Home...Isn't spring grand...

Oh how I love saying the name L-O-R-E-T-T-A and just look at those feathers on her itty bitty feet...I'm just enchanted by this little downy puffball... Okay I am off to catch up with everyone's blog...till tomorrow....Julie

Loretta is a beauty. She will be a nice addition to all the ladies in the coop. I hope she is warmly welcomed. You are right, Winslow does not look impressed.

Loretta is a cutie patootie and the ladies in the coop better watch out! LOL I can't wait to see her grow up. Poor Winslow Homer - he has the "pathetic" look down pat doesn't he! It's okay Winslow!

I'm ready for spring.... and summer, too! I love the longer days and the sunshine and I would love to have a yard full of beautiful flowers, like Jayme's at the Coop Keeper, but we have a new house, with a new yard that has some maturing to do. Plus, I have to get the pool, deck and shed put in and then do the landscaping around it. But, oh, how I want to get to that landscaping.

For now, I guess I'll just have to be happt to see my little butterfly garden begin to bloom.

Loretta is so adorable, could it be that Winslow feels a bit put out by all the attention the chick is getting. Poor Winslow. Hope that he'll adjust. JB

Lorrita is so sweet, I think she looks quite regal and will be the queen of the coupe.

Loretta is so sweet! It gives me hope as my hubby and I prepare to try to accomplish our move to Maine! Chickens are a part of our plan...so I see Loretta as another good sign!
