those lazy days....of quiet beaches....
filled with warm salty breezes....
pounding surf....
the comfort of my blue beach chair....
kicking off flip flops....
and feeling the warm sand between my toes....
goodbye summer....
you will be missed....till we meet once again....

Great photos! Every Labor Day weekend, my husband and I remember a quote we heard one year by a woman who said "Day's over, summer's over, let's go." Out from the tall beach grass ran her dog! That was about 10 years ago!

What lovely photos, I'd be sorry to see the end of summer too if I lived on the coast. As it is I'm glad to welcome the autumn - always my favourite season.

My husband and I spent the day in Maine yesterday with Mary (Ocean Breezes) and her husband Ron. We had a great time. I cant think of a better way to say good bye to summer than spending it in Maine with good friends.. Great post!!!

That was a sweet goodbye to a too-short season. I love the flip-flop photo - it says it all.
I don't think summer wants to leave. It smacked me in the face with a big dose of humidity this morning. It will be hard to leave the sand and surf and the flipflops behind until we do it all over again next year. I welcome, however, the new season.
Goodbye and good ridance to this summer I say!! Haha! We've had a real tough one here in Kansas. Saturday we got our gift...highs in the 70's and lows in the 40's. If only it could last...
