SEPTEMBER DAYS

My "to do list" remains quite lengthy...but with September days such as these....warm and humid....my inner voice commands me to drop everything...chores will eventually be accomplished...but the beauty of this September day will disappear all to soon....I decide to listen to my inner voice and take advantage...I head to the beach.... it is quiet here now...summer tourists have departed...the wind blows a salty breeze....the surf pounds.... the cry of the ever present sea gull echos in the air...

September will blend into October...Fall tourists... who are also known as" leaf peepers" will soon invade our fine State....the beach will regain it's solitude...and once again the gulls will be it's caretaker....all to soon my footprints will be washed away....

but this day will remain a pleasant memory...which I will fondly recall on a cold winter's day...

Yes, days like this one are precious, and lovely to have tucked away to take out and savour on a blustery February afternoon.

HI Julie, My friend came down from northern NH for the weekend with her kids and we made a day trip over to Jenness in Rye on Sunday. It was wonderful! We go to the beach all year, just in snowboots and jackets when we can't be barefoot. ~Vonnie

Chores will wait, beautiful day in the sun will not. Just did the same thing myself the other day. Took my coffee and computer out to the porch and there I stayed all day. Loved it!!

Beautiful colors, glad you at least photographed your footprints before the waves washed them away:)

We also spent a wonderful afternoon at the beach but on Tuesday. It was picture perfect at low tide and we pretty much had the beach to ourselves (just us and all of the little shore birds chasing the waves)......you have to love fall!!
