JUST AN ORDINARY DAY~

This morning as I opened the old wooden door, sunshine flooded in... winter has settled herself in nicely...the temperature is brisk, the snow light and fluffy...thankfully today we will see the sun...My hens...are more than ready for an outing...feathers need to be aired...egos addressed...speaking of egos, can ya guess who has the largest? yup...right on the money...Mr. Don Juan...such a looker... his women swoon at the sight of him...secretly...I know his heart belongs to Josephine... when I mentioned a photo opportunity....Henny and Beatrix were more than willing to oblige... sorry girls...sorry Gladys...this is more of what I was thinking... Portland Head Light... majestic against the shimmering Atlantic ocean...inland "we" have received more snow than those along the coast...once home the wide open trail was calling to me... "Julie, get your butt moving" two sets of long johns later I was out the door... snowshoes ready and waiting...warm chocolate chip cookies...and the scent of farmhouse white bread floating in the air...I did not partake...why you ask? Weight Watchers...May the force be with me...more on that subject tomorrow...Goodnight...

Wow, you have a lot more snow than us. We maybe have 2 inches on the ground. Mmmm, those cookies and bread look dangerous for weight watchers!

Beautiful - hens, snow, light, cookies, bread.....and you didn't have any of that bread! You are stalwart!

You are so funny, I think your snow shoes look like fun. Well I am curious to what your plans are, you look pretty skinny to me.

Love your pictures..they are always so bright and clear. I am about to just give up on ever having good pictures. We had bad storms tonight and thunder was so loud and hard that it shook the house. I have enjoyed enough of the white stuff and am ready for spring :)

Hi Julie!
Oh goodness...just what I needed before I go to bed...a picture of home made bread and chocolate chip cookies LOL!!!! I joined Weight Watchers Online earlier this week...it's pretty easy so far as long as I don't go out and buy any Cheeto's Puffs ;) Good luck with your diet! Love the photo's...your chickens at least go out in the snow..mine don't like to step outside at all when we get white stuff. So far we've only had a skiff and that was in early November..it was gone in a couple of hours. Enjoy your snow...and your bread and cookies..that's what I love about WW :) Have a good week!

I love seeing your photos of the area where you live. Maine has such a stunning coastline.

Just ordered the new weight watchers books myself. And bought a scale. That was the real kicker and turning point...I've gained much more than I realized. So, I'm counting points with you!

Wow wee, what will power you have. I would have to have a piece of that bread for sure.I could actually pass on the cookies, but definitely not the bread. Your hens are so lovely and photogenic. I have been to Portland Head Light and find the whole place breathtaking. The day I was there the fog horn was sounding and the fog rolled in just like a blanket. Too lovely for words.

You live in one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. It's hard for me to imagine snow against the ocean because I grew up in southern California. Believe me, you will never find snow at one of those beaches. Glad the chickens are going to enjoy their outing. I want a piece of bread, I'll be right over! I only wish.
