~FRIENDS~

A friend...
is someone who knows how to put a smile on your face while your heart is still mending...
Sweet Emma Lou has come home to Dog Trot Farm, I picked her ashes up on Friday. It seems strange not to have a feline in the house, at one time we had eight along with two collies. I do have good news to share, Lida the shelter kitty has found a forever home. I was so relieved to learn she had been adopted. I admit I felt guilty for not being ready to take her in, she is a sweet kitty and quite deserving of a loving home. Below, a rug I designed and hooked years ago.It depicts Emma and Macy, Emma being a Tortie and Macy a Money cat. Macy was Emma's best friend and the "mouser" in the family. Macy wandered in our field one day, jumped into my arms and the rest is history. I have been remiss in putting the binding on my rug...I realize now is the time to do so...Well, I do hope you all are enjoying this lovely winter Sunday, I'm off to clean the coop and have a little chat with my girls, gotta keep up with local coop gossip...Greeting from Maine, Julie.

Yes, that is a dear friend. Not to mention an hysterical card! Your friend knows you well.

My heart goes out to you with the loss of sweet Emma Lou. I just wish they could stay with us so much longer but an animals time is all to short.

The rug is beautiful, Julie. Someday you will find 'the one' once again. Until then I hope life keeps you busy.

Hugs,
Sharon

I am so glad you have your girls to go visit with. To listen to all of the goings on in the coop. They do help me in all of my trials.
I know soon you will have a new kitty to come and jump in your arms.
Have a lovely day and I do love your rugs. Very nice.

Julie, I am not a computer whiz, so oo I do not know how to leave a correct blog comment. I am the one with the Valentines comment. My email address is: otway56@aol.com. Your rug is beautiful and in time you may allow anew pet to reside with you! Happy Blessings, Patti

That rug is so sweet and what a great memorial to Emma and Macy. Yes, I think it's time to put the binding on. I don't like that part of hooking, either.
Hugs :)

Hi Julie, your rug is just delightful and full of memories. I think that you're right, now is the time to put the finishing touches on it.

The card is just hilarious and full of humor. You have a great friend to cheer you up and the flowers are beautiful. It take a long time to mend a big heart like yours. It needs a big roll of scotch tape.I hope that you have a great week while waiting for spring to come. Hugs. JB

It's nice that you have the rug to work on as you settle with your thoughts of your Emma.
Our girls were not happy today with the drop in temperature. Like me, they were getting used to the warm and rainy weather.

The hardest thing is losing your pet but think of the wonderful life you gave her, I always say after the loss, no more animals, but my heart says differently and I think yours will too !

Funny card! Sweet friend! And a darling rug :) I think I have probably told you this before but we have three of our kitties with us. They are in lovely little boxes and when we move they go with us. They are always in our heart. I am glad Sweet Emma is home once again.

I love cleaning the coop and chatting with my girls. They are ready for spring, as am I...they want to wander the yard in search of good things to eat...we are all tired of winter.
