TOMORROW IS ANOTHER DAY
First let me say I make a mean whoopie pie...relatives and friends alike come from near and far to indulge in my decadent dark chocolate cake with sweet cream filling... Secondly, let me say one of the benefits of keeping chickens is you always have someone to rant to...today being Wednesday, it is Weight Watcher weigh-in day. Lord have mercy, I lost a whooping .1 of a pound. You could have bowled me over with a feather. Seriously, I wanted to shout "you must be mistaken"..."the scales obviously need to be calibrated" come on... Never in my wildest dreams did I think it was going to be so difficult to lose twenty pounds. I exercise, have been completely faithful to the WW program, three weeks and I have only lost a little over four pounds...My friend...once again indulged in all forms of food no no's... I mean macaroni and cheese...pizza...big ole fat pork chops...brownies and pumpkin squares...yup...she lost...two and a half pounds...a little over eight pounds total...

You must have more muscle than you think you do! But hey, you've lost some weight, you should be proud! It's better than the alternative! LOL!!! So, how good was that whoopie pie? LOL!!!
Oh Julie,
I understand completely! There are days when I can starve myself and the scale doesn't budge! Have you tried measuring for inches lost or the way the pants feel.. as in looser?
I hope tomorrow will be easier and the scale has better numbers!
Hugs!

you know I am so glad you had that whoopie pie I bet you loved every bite and your right tomorrow is another day
Cathy
Juliemy friend you crack me up.
Seriously, I think that a girl has to move away from civilization in order to loose weight now a day.
Everywhere we go there are temptations and yes Woopie pies. I find that our church is a real instigator. There is always an occasion to have sweet and almost every week there are gathering for this group or that group and for funeral receptions. It's never ending.
On the bright side you haven't gained this week. Tomorrow is another day. Hugs JB
I joined Weight Watchers at work yesterday. I want to lose 20 but I think I will switch to 15 for now.
Are you doing the points system?
I think the older we get the harder it is to lose it...that's my opinion cause it is happening to me.
Good Luck and don't give up.
Oh I am so sorry Julie, I started Jan. 1st I have lost 1.8 pounds in 6 freaking weeks!!!! So we can commiserate.
I think it is because we don't have that much to loose or we are just us.
I am continuing even though it is like hardest thing I have ever done to keep tracking and measuring and exercising. About the only think is my clothes are fitting better.
You still lost. :)
You will probably lose 2 pounds next week too!
Julie ~
That sucks, but at least you didn't gain. Maybe that whoopie is just what you needed and I hope you enjoyed every last morsel.
Hugs :)

Yup - you ate that Whoopee Pie and when you weigh yourself tomorrow you'll have lost another three pounds.
"How does she know?" you ask.
Been there - done that!
ohman...that can be so discouraging! Sorry that it's been so difficult for you, Julie. All I can say is keep at it.
Julie when it warms up and you are out working in the yard, it will come off!
There was an article about the new WW point system in the NYTimes the other day. Apparently, you are not alone in finding the new system difficult to lose weight with: http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/02/06/in-new-diet-math-subtracting-is-hard/
Dan and I count calories with an iPod app called Lose It, and I must say, it works if you count every calorie. Unfortunately, the pounds creep back on if you stop counting :-(
Good luck!
I can,t stop laughing your blog is so funny and I needed a good laugh. See you soon, Love ya
At least you still lost. It is a frustrating battle. I did laugh because I would have demolished a whoopie pie too. Well, for me it would be a bag of chips.
I think drinking tons of water is key. And they say eat breakast like a king, lunch like a prince and supper like a pauper. Unfortunately I like to eat in reverse - I'm a bad night eater.
Keep trying
Any loss is a good weight loss.Just keep clucking away! HUgs Cheri
MY daughter would sympathize with you, she tried really hard last week, gym, swimming, sticking to it (we do Slimming World) and she lost half a pound. Having eaten your whopie pie you'll probably lose a couple of pounds at the next weigh in:) Hope so anyway.
It can be discouraging, but you're moving in the right direction. It'll happen...
