I admit I am not a morning person, or shall I say an early morning person. There are days however, when I do need to be out the door by 6:00 or 6:30. Thank goodness those days are rare.
My husband is a morning person and his job requires him to be out the door by 5:30 AM. DH is my backup alarm clock. So last Monday, I asked If he would kindly give me a "wake up" call by 6:30. I was up, but received no such call. Instead of calling him to let him know I was up and on my way, I decided to wait and see exactly how long it might be for him to remember me. Any Guesses? At 11:30 AM a message was left on the answering machine stating he was sorry, "I feel awful" were his exact words. Upon his arrival home that evening, "you better have flowers" said I. "Oh, I did think of that, but.... I'll go back out and get you some". Don't be silly, tomorrow will be fine. (Honestly DH is the main cook in our family ( am I a lucky girl or what? Flowers could wait, my stomach would not). Long story short, on the six day, the same length of time it took the Good Lord to create the world, Julie got her flowers. Amen.

Hahaha, very cute story. The flowers are lovely so I would say they were worth the wait.
Haha, that is funny. Really, he would have went and got flowers? I am so glad you got one that cooks and buys flowers. That is so nice. I think they are lovely.
Love the tulips! Worth the wait, no?
Hugs :)
Lauren
Those flowers are worth the wait!
I'm so happy to have an extra hour at the end of the day that I don't begrudge the loss of a hour's sleep this morning.
Good one, Julie. I'm still smiling!
Better late than never I always say! The flowers are beautiful. You are right, you have a great guy. My husband can cook oatmeal!!! Yippee for me.
LOL at least you got them!! You lucky girl...wish my hubby liked to cook. His idea of cooking is to take me to Spangles or sometimes Chili's but I don't mind because at least I don't have to cook that night ;) I hope you're having a good weekend.
Maura :)
Way to get some flowers!!! They are so pretty and nothing says spring like tulips. Enjoy, Dawn
Good story Julie. What a luck girl indeed to have a husband that cooks for you and brings you beautiful flowers. You have him well trained. Is he for hire? JB
Better late than never I guess! That's a great pic. Tulips are my favorite! A man who is a great cook can be forgiven some minor lapses.
Hope you have a great week with no 6:30 mornings!
Beautiful!! I think they were worth the wait (I won't tell your Hubby though, lol).
He sounds very sweet!!! Love the flowers too! Nice job! My hubby is my backup alarm too! LOL!!! He refers to us as the lark & the owl! LOL!!
Nice story and nice flowers.
Nice flowers Julie. I had no idea your Hubby is the cook in the family. Learn something new everyday. CH is an excellent cook and I love the food he cooks! Lucky you, flowers and dinner!
Peepers?
Mmmm...your tulips are lovely. Wonderful, bright yellow.
Haha...and pretty flowers they are! (and a great husband -- sounds like a keeper)
Julie,
I have read and enjoyed your blog for quite some time now but this is the first time I have posted a comment to let you know that. I am lucky to have a hubby who cooks and would have went back out to buy flowers too. Tulips are lovely!
