DO YOU?

Do you have an inner voice? Do you have an inner voice that you actually listen to? I do and I do. So this afternoon when a tall maple tree snapped and split, now hanging precariously over the clothesline....I'm sure you know where this post is headed...Mr. Dog Trot said "I can cut the tree so it will fall away"...AWAY...
now I love Mr. Dog Trot dearly however, from my vantage point there was just no way this tree was not going to land smack in the middle of the clothesline. I wanted to yell "my inner voice says your are WRONG, Mr. Dog Trot does not believe in such things...

so on this lovely afternoon, while the sun was shining and the birds singing, the old maple tree fell...

landing right smack in the middle....

of the clothesline...

I walked over to the girls...

girls I said..."let that be a lessoned learned"

always listen to your inner voice...

lol I don't have an inner voice but a sixth sense sort of like when I forgot to bring something with me...little things like that. Your inner voice sounds cool. Sorry about the clothesline.

That is a good lesson learned. I'm so glad that no one was hurt and only you cloth line suffered damage.

Loosing a nice tree in the yard is always sad, but it could have been worst.
A few years ago, my husband's cousin was killed when a tree fell on him while cutting trees in the forest. He was crushed by the tree.

Happy Mother's Day.
Hugs, JB

My Sweetie can calculate and drop a 100 ft. tall tree excatly where he wants it, he is amazing. On the other hand, he can't help but hit every pot hole within a fifty mile radius repeatedly. My poor achy shocks & car! You gotta love them, not matter the mishaps! Men!

Well you stayed quiet that is good, I don't know if I would have stayed quiet.

I've always been a strong believer in trusting your instincts! Is this a not so subtle way of saying "I told you so"? I'm glad no one was injured, clothesline aside!

Julie, YES to the inner voice although I have to scream and repeat my inner voice for CH because he still does not trust my inner voice even though it is spot on now for 39 years! You had me laughing so much I snorted!

Darn! Sorry about your clothes line.

You had a 'tree issue' just like I did. One nice thing is it could have been worse and it wasn't so it worked out a-okay!

Your photos are lovely!
