A brilliant, courageous young man...a Navy Seal... was killed in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan. My family and I had the honor of meeting this man, the new husband of our niece, who also serves in the Navy, when he traveled to Maine to meet the family and enjoy the Christmas holiday. A young couple with hopes and dreams of a happy life together. In the blink of an eye, life can change. My heart aches for Emily and her husband's family. Please know that my thoughts as well as those from my island family are with you. A DAY OF SADNESS~
Yesterday began as any other ordinary day, but by day's end it would no longer be, it would become a day of sadness and grief...

We were so priviledged to have met Pat, our prayers go out to Emily and all his loved ones. The Navy Seals are to be honored for their services.

My heart and prayers are with you and your family. I am so sorry. Our daughter lost her life-partner on July 10th. The loss was very sudden and unexpected, he was only 32.
