TEN MINUTES IS DOABLE~

Without doubt it never seems to fail... when Mr. Dog Trot heads out of town on business our internet service  acts up...so why should last night be any different...I did as per instructed... unplugged the modem... waited the required ten seconds and plugged it back in...no go...what else is new...there are moments when I feel like scaling this darn computer out the window...instead I grabbed my book and crawled into bed early...
This evening things have returned to normal (thank you Mr. Dog Trot) and I am soon to catch up with every one's blog.  Before I do so, I have to tell you my devoted TEN MINUTES to rug hooking appears to be working... my mat is now complete...the mat is not as vibrant in person as in the above photo, but does have the appearance of  a stain glass window...I am pleased with the results and am ready to tackle my next hooking project...I am finding TEN MINUTES is doable...

It really does work. This turned out great. Will it be a chair pad? Pillow? Candle mat?

Computer problems are the pits, especially when no one is around to help. Glad the Mr. DT could fix it for you.
Your hooked mat came out just wonderful. I find "ten minutes" can last quite a while and really adds up. It works for me, too.
Hugs :)

Well done! I look forward to seeing your next ten-minutes-at-a-time project.
Funny, but the only time major items go on the blink is when The Great Dane isn't around. There must be a cosmic rule!

Computers = frustration. But it is amazing how they sometimes fix themselves during the night, though it sounds like you had some help from Mr. Dog Trot.

Ten minutes, huh? I wonder if that works for exercise. :-)Oh well, it's probably just for hooking.

Same here - Mr Rowan is the IT expert, if anything happens when he's not here I'm sunk! Well done on finishing the mat.

It's amazing what one can get done in ten minutes. Sometimes I put the timer on and pretend someone is coming for a visit. Ten minutes gets a whole lot of clutter put away.

I have this same mat on my frame right now....and I started it in December and it could be finished hooking in 10-20 minutes, but haven't picked it up....maybe if I think in terms of 10 minutes, it could be done !

I've been giving myself a short amount of time to learn loom knitting...I just don't seem to find time if I don't make it.

Good luck the rug is amazing!

I will try and remember the 10 minute idea but sometimes I forget when 10 minutes is up. Good idea though since you were able to get your rug hooking done and it looks great. My stuff always looks better than the picture too :)

Recently, our internet got slow for a couple of days too. I did the whole reset the modem and router thing too and nothing. Then, one day it fixed itself. Sometimes I just think it's the service provider doing maintenance on their system... and they won't admit it so we don't ask for a pro-rated discount for that month. Your hooked rug is awesome!

Your Mat turned out wonderful. Yep, that 10 minute can help me get started doing every thing. I have been working on cleaning out all of my drawers and cupboards using the 10 minute rule so far this year.
I had to watch my son's children all day yesterday and the youngest is 10 months old. I was kissing him up and playing with him and I thought, of you. You get to do that every week. :)
Having four of them here was a challenge. The three older ones were supposed to be taking a nap and I went in to see what they were doing and they asked if I would just sit down and talk. I did, of course and no naps happened. It was a wonderful day.
Last night though I got in bed exhausted. If I did that every day, I would get in great shape. :) It really is such a great time of life, isn't it. What are your going to hook next? Since you are on a roll now..

I think technology knows when to pick it's moment to play up! Glad you got back online. I like your thinking on 10 minutes of rug hooking.I am going to teach myself how to knit and crotchet.Never been able to do either. :)
