A SIMPLE PLEASURE~

Our latest snowstorm has passed leaving a coating of white in its wake...
by mid morning the clouds cleared to reveal a brilliant blue sky...
Winslow Homer and I made our way out the door and  down the driveway...
our destination, the grocery store...
clearly it was time to make my weekly purchase...
such a simple purchase...but one that aids in my sanity...and get this... another snowstorm is to arrive Wednesday lasting into Thursday...I say off with the head of that damn groundhog!!!

Oh Julie,
I feel your pain! Let us know if those gorgeous tulips help make this lasting winter weather a little more bearable! I don't know how much more I can take of it either!!
Hugs!!

Off with the head indeed! I keep thinking about my son in NH. I know they're ready for spring for sure! The tulips are indeed beautiful.

I think tulips are just the best of all when it is winter. I love the ones that you bought. Your sky and the snow is just breathtaking.
We are set to break heat records this week. I really want to sit and cry. I am not ready for warm weather at all. Oh well I will snap out of it.
Have a wonderful week Julie!

The snow does look pretty though. Sorry I live in the state where they think that groundhog is cool, lol. Love the tulips♥

What a gorgeous blue sky against all of that white snow! Your tulips are really pretty. We are suppose to have more snow tomorrow night into Wed morning. Janice

Be thankful that silly ground hog is still napping under the snow ~ if he was awake he'd be breaking into your house at night and eating your new tulips! :))) he he

I love watching the snow fall and the way it looks when it's over, like everything is covered and dripping in white icing. We didn't get any snow here in Virginia. I must say I'm a little jealous.

The pictures are breathtaking but I'm with you wishing that Spring was here.
I'm in Ottawa today and I can guarantee that the sun was shining above the clouds but down below it was overcast. The temperature was springlike today but we too are waiting for another snow storm and my daughter Christine is waiting for James' baby brother to be born any day now. I just hope that the storm will not interfere for the trip to the hospital.

Have a good week.

You'll need more than a bunch of pretty tulips to get you through the next storm. We only got 4 inches yesterday and I'm not sure about Wednesday, they are saying it will be hard to forecast. Good luck, I hope the snow will be the light and fluffy stuff.

In a weird way, I'm kind of envious of your snow and lovely blue sky. Over here, we've had unending dreary grey skies, urgh!!!

LOL...lets hope this is the last storm!!!
I guess I shouldn't complain, we don't have it as bad as your area. The snow all melted yesterday and it was a nice day but today we are suppose to get hit with it.
Pretty tulips.

Ha...funny comment about the groundhog. He sure did get it wrong this time! Your snow pics are lovely, but I can see how you would be sick of it. Your tulips are a lovely idea, a reminder that brighter weather is ahead.

Your pictures are so crisp and pretty, the snow looks lovely but don't tell the ground hog I said that!

Thanks for the beautiful pics and the laugh. Well said, my dear (and we don't have what you do. Today it's buckets of rain ~ thankfully not snow!).
Hugs :)
