Wet... dark and dreary was Halloween Eve...ghosts and goblins, sadly did not appear...nor witches on broomsticks... pumpkins remained faceless...faux pumpkins with battery powered candles used instead...
Our little train engineer... with favorite blanket in hand...was readied to visit his maternal grandparents...
Today, November 1st finds temperatures in the seventies...late October's "trick" on "us" The wind is howling, temperatures soon to dip...tomorrow...I'll pack Halloween away and bring those Christmas totes to the forefront...

The wind is howling here too. We had about 25-30 trick or treaters but none as cute as that little engineer.
So sweet he is sitting there!
I am packing mine away Sunday and bringing out the Turkey totes...no Christmas yet.
We had howling winds last night and cold here today.
Happy 1st.

Evening Julie, love Travis decked out as a engineer, so cute.My father was a train man and loved them.........Happy November friend, Francine.
it was much the same down here on the North Shore of Boston. it is still expected to be rather warm most of next week. it feels as if its September
Your little train engineer is adorable. So nice you had a bit of warm before winter settles in.
Have a nice time getting your Christmas totes to the front.
Well, gosh...he sure makes a cute engineer!
Your little engineer is such a sweetheart! It's always so much fun to see the kids in their costumes! Putting Halloween away will be what consumes my "extra hour" this weekend... as we fall back the clocks....
So Travis has a blankie. I know how absolutely important it is to have a blankie. I still have one. Travis is a darling little train engineer! I LOVE this month of Thanksgiving. I just want to slow it down. Good Morning Julie!
ALL ABOARD...... I'm getting on his train. The cutest train engineer ever... I've had some catching up to do and somehow I missed this post. It's quite a job catching up...
Now it's time to think turkey for you in the US.
Have a great weekend.
Hugs,
JB
isn't Travis so adorable? We had a Thomas the Tank Engine that my youngest wore for 4 years, he didn't want a different costume! Thanks for answering me on the coffee ground muslin, I'm gonna use that trick. I'm sorry I didn't email back, it got deleted before I had a chance to answer you. And yes, we were at 69 here yesterday, but it's getting chilly now, they're only wanting 43 tomorrow! Buttoning up the chickens for sure tonight! Peace to you, Julie, ~Vonnie
Oh Julie,
What a precious little engineer you have there! Love that costume! The weather was very Halloweeny here also... but sounds like a change is on the way! I am so not ready for the winter season this year. Wish it would hold off for a little while longer!
I think of you and Winslow Homer often too with the insulin shots! It's a daily thing that gets old but so worth it to have the precious little fur babies here a while longer!
Hope you adjust to the time change without too much trouble!
Hugs!!

That first photo is beautiful actually , well beauty is in the eyes of ...
Of course a big "awe" for Mr Cutie conductor !
Hi there--what a pretty photo of the rain on the branches. I can't believe how your grandson has grown! What a cutie! Glad you are well.
Julie, what a handsome little train engineer. Just want to pinch him!! I miss having one that age. We had about 150 trick-o-treaters. Down from our usual 250. Cold but nice weather. I'm getting anxious for Christmas. Can't wait to see yours..Happy Weekend..Judy
