and so it begins...winter in Maine...
parts of the state received ten or more inches of snow today...they have been without electricity since early morning...fortunately for us we've had but a dusting...the wind continues to howl and the lights flicker...the temperature will dip into the twenties this evening...we are prepared...as prepared as one can be on this second day of November...~sigh~

Ugh it's just too soon for the white stuff. I hope it isn't a sign of a repeat of last winter
The older I get, the more I dread winter. xo
be still my heart! my two most favorite things. snow and pumpkins!
We didn't get all the snow forecasted but the ground is white and it's 0 degree C. or 32 F. . Just like winter.
I really miss my old wood stove and the new one is only going to be installed on the 27th .
Stay cosy and warm.
Hugs,
JB
Stay safe. It looks like it might be another cold winter. Believe me, I would have it in a heartbeat. I would love to trade weather. :) My husband said this morning, we have to think about turning on the heater. After this hot summer, I want cold.
Have a great week in spite of the weather. :)
Morning Julie, hope you are warm and cozy by the wood stove. Kinda early but one never knows in this month of November. Blessings Francine.
Looks like a cold one coming up. We are cold here today, but it will be back to eighty by weeks end.

Hope you continued to fair as well as can be expected.
We had snow on Saturday..but not that much. It did put me in the mood to decorate a bit for Christmas. Janice
No snow here yet, but in the past week we've had daytime highs of 80 and 48. Summer doesn't let go easily here on the Eastern Shore. Never know what to wear from one day to the next, but I'm not complaining. Soon enough I'll doing my barn chores in boots and insulated coveralls. Stay warm. Pretty pumpkin pic!
I found your little blog through a photo on Pinterest (my most favorite website!) and just had to join! I love the whole set up and your photos. I'm from Cambridge and a born and raised New Englander. Your posts make me long for my future plans of moving to New Hampshire when I retire :) I too am not looking forward to the white stuff. That's a dirty word to my family!! lol! I look at it this way...........for every day we don't get that stuff, it's every day closer to Spring and baseball season! Looking forward to reading more on you blog in the future. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
