Oh what a glorious day, this is the sort of day you never want to end. The temperature in the low eighties, a gentle Southerly breeze. Green is becoming the prominent color in the landscape, trees starting to bud, it is a magical time of year.
Today I uncovered my flower gardens. This is what I call my "moon" garden. A Hydrangea tree in the center, white perennials and silver foliage bloom during the summer. Springtime bulbs also find a home here.
My Herb garden being uncovered under the watchful eye of Winslow Homer.
My perennial bed is a color mixture of pinks, purples, whites, lime greens and blues. It appears most plants have endured our lengthy winter and are now just waiting to make their grand appearance.
Forsythia, a sure sign of spring.
Yes Winslow you are a good boy. Thank you for keeping Mr. fox out of the yard, now go get a drink of water and find a shady spot to relax, I'll be right behind you.
We all worked under the watchful eye of Emma Lou. Is that an "orb" I see in this photo, oh Lordy, I knew there were spirits in this house, I hope they remain friendly!

Oh that beautiful Winslow Homer face...I could look at that mug all day, I'm tellin' ya. :-)
You asked about Rox rolling in stuff...she will do that occasionally, but she's more of an eater, if you know what I mean. She really likes following after the chickens. Blech. And she loved the donkeys. Ugh. Wonder what she'll think of the goats. Ewwww...
Anyway, she does get dirty, but I def do not have to bathe her weekly. That's an ugly production, let me tell you. The combination of Cairn and Shih Tzu makes a crazy fur combination that is almost IMPOSSIBLE to comb out.
Your garden is going to be lovely this year...
It was really nice out here yesterday, too! Probably a little cooler. We spent the afternoon out of the house and near the marsh in Scarborough. I love your pictures, and Winslow! He's such a good boy :)
I'm so glad you spring has finally shoved winter out of the way where you are! It's exciting to see all the plants peep through isn't it! (-:
Aren't you loving this weather? Winslow Homer is probably a bit warm though. Your gardens are gorgeous! Bet they are loving this great weather too!
Emma Lou is a pretty girl : ) Friendly spirits I'm sure.
Sharon

The moon garden sounds lovely, I will look forward to seeing it later in the season.
