As I entered the coop this morning Gladys greeted me with an evil eye. All my girls are very unhappy with this wet and soggy weather; which seems never ending. The chooks are no longer able to visit their outside pen as it is nothing more than a large mud puddle. The forecast is for possible sun on Saturday, the key word being "possible". Please keep your fingers and toes crossed that the sun does indeed shine upon us, if not for my mental well being, the well being of my chooks!

Well, so much for the sun I told you about earlier,... been raining here for hours now, along with lightening and thunder. Poor chooks,..
My mom was telling me about something she saw on TV that said back in 1840 I believe it was that New England didn't have a summer. They said it was possible again. So help me I will cry if that is true. Things aren't looking too good after Saturday. Back down into the low 70's. Hopefully all that will change.
I recall the summer of 1973 or 1974while still a teenager and living on the island, we experienced exactly one day of sunshine. The entire summer we were fogged in!
Poor Chooks! (look at her little toes!!) Well I really feel bad for ya Julie! Keep the fire roaring and head down here for the winter!!!
