Well, I have had a response from Nellie's Eggs. First they offered me a coupon for one egg, (.30) then retracted and offered me a free dozen. I thanked them for responding to my e-mail's and informed them their acknowledgement was a credit to their character and no refund was necessary. In all honesty I was just curious to see if I would receive a reply. So, that being said I will continue to purchase Nellie's eggs, that is, till Gladys and the girls get busy. Three weeks and counting!

THREE WEEKS!!! By then it'll be snowing. You don't expect your girls to pop out popsicle eggs!!! I think Nellie's will be happy to get your business for another 6 months!!!!
Shees! $.30 I would have given you a dozen! One nice thing about have young hens, they will lay all winter for you. My old timey grandfather alwasy said if the hens keep thier feet warm and dry they will lay all winter.

Black Australorps lay almost all year round.
Nice to have a decent company response. Can I ask why three weeks is significant? Do they only start laying at a certain age? I'm an ignorant townie really! (-:
Linda I will make sure I keep the girl's tootsie's dry and warm. Gail, I don't have any Black Australops, maybe next year. Jenny, I have read and been told the girl's should lay around 20 weeks. Eve, if you lived closer I would be giving you organic-free range eggs!
Go Girls of Dog Trot Farms! I bet they will be pretty eggs too and Mmm Mmm Good.
