I started my morning with this, no it's not what you're thinking....... shame on you!! Poured vodka into this lovely bottle, split three vanilla beans and dropped them in
Now the infusion begins. The bottle states it is a seven year supply, however with the amount of baking I do, two bottles were in order.

Oh my! Yum! How long does it have to blend for before you can use it?
I was at TJ Maxx and looked at some Madagascar Vanilla. It was rather pricey but it appeared to be good quality. I didn't buy it though. Maybe another time.
wow that is amazing! had no clue pure vanilla was made that way! thank you for sharing!
Oh wow Julie!! I hope you saved just a little in that big bottle!! Ha ha ha!!
How long before you can use the vanilla? And is it possible to email baked goods???
Interesting!
The instructions suggest to keep the vanilla in a dark room and let it infuse for four months. Sharon I have purchased Madagascar vanilla at Marshalls and it is wonderful. Eve I will be hand delivering your vanilla in March!
Very, very interesting! I don't know if I really want to make some vanilla or I just think those Rose & Ivy bottles are just too cute! Might be a little of the first and alot of the second :)
A lovely winter wonderland photo. Please keep the snow in your neck of the woods I still have not finished ranking leaves! It's hard to believe Thanksgiving is next week and Christmas is just around the corner!
It is and I have to get my head around it for winter isn't going away for some time.
I also make vanilla, but I use Jack Daniels. Either way it's nice to have your own.

Jenny, It will be used in any recipe that calls for vanilla, cakes, cookies, etc.
Yeah, a new thing to try! So that is what is in Vanilla. So simple. Thanks for the great idea.
