WEIGHT WATCHER WEIGH IN~

Today was weigh in day at Weight Watchers. This past week I have been "living" the program. I have been extremely diligent with my "clean" eating. No butter, salt, (my choice) minimal carbs. and sugar. Lots of fruit, vegetables and protein. Three days I met my goal of 10,000 steps by snow shoeing, followed by many, many steps of walking.
For those of you who might be contemplating joining Weight Watchers or you are a newbie as I, this is a lesson that I learned the hard way today. Eat all of your points. I had not been doing this and today it showed up on the scale, I lost a quarter of a pound. Weight Watchers is an exact science and if you do not play by the rules, you suffer the consequences. Point in turn, a friend who also joined with me, indulged in pizza four times last week, birthday cake and Boston cream pie too, she used her points and the extra 46 you are given. Today she was four pounds lighter with a two week total of seven pounds lost while I remain at four. So there you have it, am I giving up NO, today begins another Weight Watcher week and you can bet this week I'll be eating all my points!

Congrats on the WW plan. I did it a few years ago and lost some. Of course, I gained it all back.

I need to get back into that losing mode again.

Losing weight so so hard, but having all sorts of food to eat and still lose weight....heaven.

I always enjoy your chicken posts. Joy for the longer days. It's supposed to snow here tonight and tomorrow, but that doesn't matter spring is only 4 or so weeks away now.

Julie,
I just read your post to my hubby because he joined WW on Saturday. He keeps telling me to use my points and it's OK to have a treat as long as I have the points left to use. Well, me being me, I have been a very good girl and have gone 7 days now without "cheating"(to me being no sugary treats and barely any carbs). I have been under my daily points and haven't used my weekly or exercise points. I'm not weighing in until Sunday because that is what they have it as for me(I joined on Wednesday night) so my weigh in will be for 11 days. I am now totally afraid I won't see the scale move! I did take my measurements and I will be happy if I see those decrease but it would be nice to see the scale move too. I guess it is a learning thing right now. Thank you for this post.
And CONGRATS on your two week total, 4lbs is actually what you are supposed to have lost. Keep it up :)

It is so true, you have to eat to loose. I still try to not eat what I am supposed to and I never loose. This week I have tried to eat all of my points so I will see on Friday, but you still lost and you did so well on other things, I bet next week you will loose.
Good for you Julie!

You'll get it all figured out...it works differently for different people, too. Just relax and do your best and keep up with the exercising!

You have to find what works for YOU. Don't base decisions on how a friend is losing. I have done WW and I can't eat the total points they give me as a base and lose. You will find what works for you. Besides, you LOST and that is what counts AND you are learning new and healthy habits (hopefully) and you are moving!

Great job on your weight loss. 4 pounds is 4 pounds, be proud of them.
I did WW long ago and have kept it off for the most part. I go back when I need a boost to get back on track!-Cammie

It's so maddening when that sort of thing happens isn't it? At least all that exercise has to be good for you:)
