SPRING, A TIME OF RENEWAL~

Spring, the season of heavenly delights. The earth awakens, bursting forth with color, the sweet fragrance of lilac and apple blossoms now fill the air, a plush carpet of green is felt under our feet. Birds dart hither and yon, nesting boxes now full...

Horses are harnessed and plowing begins, the earth is tilled...
newly plowed earth is the scent of spring...and yes the long awaited moment has finally arrived...time to plant the peas! The weather is warm, the bugs have arrived, Winslow Homer would like to inform you the ticks are here too...The lawn was mowed, the garden and hen yard tilled, it was a very productive weekend...This morning I applied sunscreen...this evening, Spring Chicken Muscle Rub, thanks mom...I have a feeling this soon to be granny is going to need a bit more of this product!

A productive day indeed. You are farther ahead than me. Those teams of horses are so beautiful and tilling the soil like this brings back old memories to me.

Have a great week.

That is so cute. I am so glad you got your peas planted.
Spring is here.
Oh, let me know if that Spring Chicken rub works. I go hobbling around like I am 100 years old some days.
I love the picture of the horses and the plow. Awesome. Have a great week.

The picture of the man plowing is awesome. I didn't know that people still used horses to plow. All the farms in my area have big tractors.

My, you did have a busy weekend! We worked outside this weekend too, wasn't it glorious! So, what's this about "soon to be granny . . . "

Oh Julie! I can only imagine the smell of that freshly plowed earth! You are cherishing the events of Spring in your territory I can tell! The ticks are out here already too and the boys got their treatment today. I found a tick on my ear earlier too.... What is your favorite remedy there for ticks?
That muscle rub looks real interesting too!!
Hugs from WI!

I love spring and hope to have a homey home soon too to share with everyone. Yes..it does make a difference as we get older and our minds feel the same but the bodies say different :)
I hate ticks and I have found a remedy to cut them wayyyy down on my fur babies.
Hugs

How lovely to see the photos of the horses ploughing - is it on your land or somewhere else? Ticks - that reminds me that it's time for B Baggins to have his Frontline again!r

I haven't planted anything yet..still way too cold, although the onion farmers have the onion seeds in the ground and already wet. We will plant next week sometime.
