SUBTLE SIGNS~

This morning the sun dawned sunny and bright with the air dry and cool...a much welcomed relief. Subtle signs of Fall are now beginning to be seen as well as heard...my small friend took a moment from his "busy work" and allowed me the opportunity to snap a photo. Mr. chipmunk's cheek pouches found stretched to the brim with a future winter's day snack...acorns... Mr.Thaddeus P. Scarecrow informed me that he was more than ready to be removed from storage. I happily obliged, out of the dark cellar he came, happy to once again see the light of day.

Afternoon shadows now appear ealier in the day...the cricket's song is sung loud and clear...

crows are found taking their position in nooks and crannies of the old homestead...

butterflies...

dot the landscape...

the flowers of Summer...

are ready to relinquish their role to the flowers of Autumn...I hope you too have enjoyed this beautiful day, blessings.

Lovely photographs, I remember when I first started blogging and I would come to visit with you each day I would catch my breath at how beautiful your photography was then and is even more so today. I love how you see nature with your heart Julie and then you capture it with your camera to share it with us.
Have a wonderful week.

Sunday greetings to you. Maybe I should say Autumn greetings to you.
I love your photos and too have sensed fall is almost here; I have a friend who is a master gardener and she says we are three weeks ahead of normal. I have noticed the fall smell in the air, the cool crisp mornings; I love fall so will embrace its joining us.
Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful pics, Julie (as always!). Signs of fall are coming too quickly to Ohio's north coast and I don't like it, not one little bit.
Hugs :)

Hi Julie! I can feel it in the air! Loving all the cooler temps and harvesting here. Sorry your garden struggled this year, the heat and dryness was definitely a factor here as well. Can't wait for mums and pumpkins and autumn leaves!! Peace to you, ~Vonnie

Chipmunks are just TOO cute! I too have notice some changes, like that we arise in the near dark to do morning chores these days... The best days of Autumn are just around the corner!! :))))
