THE DREADED MIGRAINE

Pumpkins...last year's photo of course, but it is a vision I am longing for. It has been so humid here for far too long. I am ready for cool crisp dry air and for all the wonderful delights that Fall brings. Yesterday was not a good day...MIGRAINE...My head was throbbing, throbbing with a capital "T" actually it has been throbbing since the humid weather arrived. Yesterday I had an appointment in the big city (Portland, the city by the sea) with my primary care physican, time for the annual physical...My physican was running late, I was not. Besides being late another gripe I have with physicians, would it be to much to ask to keep current updated magazines on hand? Nothing is worse than perusing a year old magazine while waiting for your name to be called. Finally, an appearance. How are you she inquired? My head is pounding I sputter, and I hit and killed a squirrel and a seagull on my way here. Surprise, I did get a reaction out of her. Alas, my visit went well, bone density and mamogram scheduled for next week, nothing new for the migraine, grin and bear it. Easier said than done. However, the good news is I have kept the weight off that I lost while on Weight Watchers, surprise...surprise...Now this little guy, he's spending three days a week with his Granny. If anything can help my migraines...while "grinning and bearing" it's Travis...

His magic brings a song to my heart and a smile to my face, plus he's good company while I attempt to pull feathers from the underneath of my car...

I can sympathize with you on the migraines. I had them for years but finally, seem to be "outgrowing" them. Imitrex saved me. It was the only thing that worked. Hope your air dries out & you get some relief. Jan

I spent too much time in the sun yesterday and had a migraine all night. Not fun. But I can see how Travis would be great medicine.

Hello Julie, oh so sorry to hear you get those dreaded migraines. My Father used to get them sooooo bad, all he could do is lay down in a dark room with a wet washcloth on his forhead,oh the pain. If anything, that sweet little baby Travis will get you through, he is a sweet angel. Take care,Blessings Francine.

Oh Julie, My last one was so bad that I am afraid of getting another one. This part is so hard I think. Kudos on keeping your weight off and now it is on record at the doctors office. I love the picture of the baby he is growing so fast. I bet he is the best medicine. You hit a squirrel and a sea gull? Oh, my gosh,
I hope the humidity goes away and so does our migraine too. I know when I come inside at night from putting the hens to bed I have one so I think heat might have something to do with it.
I hope it cools off and your last years picture becomes this years picture. :)

Sorry to hear about your migraine and looks like you have someone to take good care of you..such a sweet little face. I know when I am having a lot of back pain it is always my special pups that make it worth while to even get out of bed (little ones don't live close now and don't know if I could handle picking a baby up with back pain) I to will be glad when cooler weather is here and hope it stays long enough to enjoy it. Hope you feel better real soon
Hugs

Travis is really growing isn't he? They are such fun once they are old enough to respond to you and when they start giggling. My grandson George (age 4)has the most wonderful laugh, really mischievous and infectious. Hope the migraine is easing, they are horrible things and I certainly couldn't have driven anywhere for anything when I used to get them which was every month. Happily they disappeared when I reached a certain stage in life - one of the advantages:)

I have never had a migraine, but a women at work gets them and I always feel so sorry for her. Her whole faces changes and you can actually see the pain in her eyes. What a ride to Portland. As squirrel and a Seagull. If someone gave you a million dollars to hit them again with your car you would lose. I mean what are the chances. Travis keeps on getting more handsome, if that is possible. His skin is so dewy.

Feel better, soon Julie!! I'm so ready for fall myself, just can't wait for it's arrival. The garden harvest has been fun, but I'm ready for sweaters and wool socks and tea by the fire. Prayers for you for the migraine relief. I get occular migraines myself, so I sympathize. ~Vonnie

Headaches are just the WORST!
Just curious, was the seagull flying or "parked" when you hit him? I figure I can safely assume the squirrel was parked? :))))))

I feel your pain, as a migraine sufferer for a lot of years of my life I guess we do "outgrow" them since I have not had one in 15 years, something to look forward to. Friend that was also a migrain victim told me to take B vitamins seemed to help. Too bad your Dr. isn't more sympathic to your migrain problems.
