~A NOVEMBER DAY~

~November~
"November comes and November goes,
with the last red berries and the first white snow;
With night coming early, and dawn coming
late, and ice in the bucket and frost by the
gate.
The fires burn, and the kettles sing,
and earth sinks to rest until next spring."
~Elizabeth Coatsworth~
 Mother Nature has given us a gift...a delightful day in which the temperature reached sixty-five degrees...It's November in Maine...no snow, no ice, no frost...no need for a fire in the wood stove ... As I enjoyed a late afternoon walk... a small flock of geese flew over head ...their honk, loud and clear...  procrastinators heading south...time is fleeting...we are smack in the middle of November...and this is Maine after all...where the weather can change in the blink of an eye...

Yes, indeed...enjoy the gift of the warm temperatures. I surely am! The later winter gets here, the happier I am. Beautiful words, as always.

I love the poem, I love how you describe your walk. I wish I could have been there. It sounds so peaceful and the sky looks so pretty.
I am glad you are having a "warm" day.
That was what it was here yesterday. I loved it too. Have a lovely Tuesday Julie.

It was balmy here too on Monday and even this morning but the temperature is cooler now and the sky got overcast.
November sure is slipping away fast.
Have a great week.
Hugs,
JB
