Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn...Have you read the book? Have you seen the movie?
If so, what do/did you think?...
After all the media hype, the booked peaked my interest...I put my name on the reserve list at our local library...I just love our little library...but, this book not so such...what is wrong with me...so many raved about this book...I found it slow to gain my interest...never mind hold my interest...I typically enjoy books more than the movies that are made from them...I must say the actress who is playing the role of Amy looks spot on...let me know what you think...

I read the book when it first came out, but I have not seen the movie. All I remember is that I liked the book. Looking forward to seeing the movie...but probably not until it comes out on dvd.
Sorry Julie, I haven't even heard of the movie.
I've had my nose to the grind for such a long time that I haven been to a movie or the library for a couple of years. I've been out of the loop.
I've only read two books during the summer. The Enneagram and the other was Discovering your personality Type ( The essential introduction to the enneagram) I found the subject very interesting.
Take care and have a great day.
Hugs,
JB
Morning Julie, will look for it at my little library, have a great day.Blessings Francine.
I feel the same way! When I read the book I was expecting this fantastic book because of all the hype and for me it was just eh! I found myself getting irritated at the narcissistic characters after a while! Don't know if I will bother seeing the movie until it's free on Netflix!
Hi, I have read the book it was ok.....better than Sharp Objects which I did not enjoy (there was some animal cruelty) I agree books are better than movies. Love your October pictures!! :)
I read the book & even though it was a real downer, the writing was so good & what a mind it took to come up with so much deception. On my blog under "favorites" is a new blog I'm following. Can't remember it's name but she did a review of it that you might find interesting. I'll send the name to you. Jan
I'm sorry but I can't find it. Wondering if she deleted it & why but she didn't care for it either.
I have not read that book but I have to say I find that to be true of most books that large groups of people rave about. I am not crazy about them so what is wrong with me?

I read the book and liked the movie. My husband did not read the book and loved the movie. The same scenario with my daughter and her boyfriend. I read a lot of mysteries though. It was the first movie we had been to in ages...just not much out there worth seeing these days.
