~2016~

~HAPPY NEW YEAR~
FROM ME TO YOU...MAY YOU BE BLESSED WITH HEALTH AND HAPPINESS WHILE SURROUNDED BY THOSE YOU LOVE~

~RING OUT THE OLD,
RING IN THE NEW,
RING HAPPY BELLS,
ACROSS THE SNOW!
THE YEAR IS GOING
LET HIM GO,
RING OUT THE FALSE,
RING IN THE TRUE.~
Alfred Lord Tennyson

~WE WILL OPEN THE BOOK. IT'S PAGES ARE BLANK.
WE ARE GOING TO PUT WORDS ON THEM OURSELVES.
THE BOOK IS CALLED OPPORTUNITY AND IT'S FIRST CHAPTER IS NEW YEAR'S.~
Edith Lovejoy Pierce

Once again it is time to take stock of our lives, reflect on the past and ponder goals for the future. We purge our homes attempting to put our house in order, January is the month for a "fresh start" a new beginning...

"ONE RESOLUTION I HAVE MADE, AND TRY TO KEEP, IS THIS:
TO RISE ABOVE THE LITTLE THINGS"

I love the quote: The resolution I have made, and try to keep, is this: to rise above the little things." So good!

God bless you and yours in this new year.

Happy New Year Julie. I'll try to give a go at decluttering my house and taking stock of my spiritual side. Who knows, I may succeed one day...
Wishing you a fabulous year.
Thanks for all your sweet comments and your friendship. They are pure gifts to me.
Hugs.

Julie, I see that I have missed a few of your posts so I peeked back and enjoyed them all. That little Paige Elizabeth is so darling. Your Christmas tree is beautiful, and from my perspective it is good that you finally have snow. Is that good for you? Hope you have a wonderful New Year that is happy and healthy..Best wishes in 2016 my friend..Judy

Hi Julie, me again. I just heard from Mary that a new Civil War drama is coming on called Mercy Street, Sunday, Jan.7 at 10:00 pm. Sounds like it might be good..J

"...to rise above the little things" is most admirable! I need to do this, daily. Dave used to tell me, "Your expectations are too high" and he's, more than likely, right. sigh.
So, I'll just keep doing what I'm doing but striving to be a little better, a little further along life's path.
Happy New Year to you and yours.
