~WELL, HELLO~

Autumn in New England...
If you have never visited New England... Autumn is a delightful season to do so...Mother Nature puts on such a lovely show...all dressed in her finest...
leaves turn to brilliant colors of red, orange, yellow and gold...the air cool and crisp...farm stands offer crunchy apples, pumpkins in various shades of orange...cornstalks, decorative corn and sweet apple cider...of course I would be remiss if I did not mention the homemade pumpkin and apple spice donuts...a sweet indulgence after a morning of apple picking...
Travis Lloyd is now four... goes to preschool three mornings a week...and plays soccer...
Paige Elizabeth...our ginger haired girl... turned one last month...Paige loves her baby doll and playing in the dirt with her brother...
Alas, I have much catching up to do with everyone in this world of blogging.. These past seven months have been spent caring for my beloved father at my parent's island home...this is where he wanted to live out the remainder of his life with the people he loved most...Sadly, on September 16th, Lloyd Elliott Jones lost his battle with multiple myeloma...
Life continues on...one step at a time...
I am back home...back to my husband...a cat named Hazel and two chickens, Cinny and Doris...oh and new stories to share...

I am sorry to hear about your dad, but it is wonderful that you were able to spend his last moments on earth, with him. I am loving the slow foliage this year, and the nicer weather we have been having.

Oh Julie, I was so happy to see your post today. I have missed you!! I am so sorry about your dear Father, but I am so happy he got to live out his life on his island, with his family.
The kids have got so big. Yes, Maine is I am sure the place where all of the poems are wrote about Autumn. I can't wait to read your stories and see your photos. I have missed you, welcome back!

Hi Julie, I am sorry to hear of your father's passing... it sounds like we have been going through similar times as I lost my dear mom in August. She too was able to be home and cared for by myself and my siblings. How wonderful that your father was able to be in a place he dearly loved at the end.
Your grands are so cute and growing up real fast! It's so good to see a post from you and the beautiful pics of Maine! This time of year goes by so quickly doesn't it... but it's precious to be able to see the beauty out our windows. May your heart continue to heal dear friend... sending love and
Hugs!!!

I am so very sorry for your loss. I am sure the memories of your days spent with father are helping as you move forward. I lost my mom in March and it was the most difficult time of my life, but life marches forward and as mom would have wanted, I am marching forward too, and enjoying the magic of fall in New England. Each time I drive through another town, I remember doing so with my mom in her last years and I smile thinking of her. I hope you are able to remember your dear father in the same way. Hugs across the miles, Linda

Julie, I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of your father. Caring for an ailing parent of family member is a difficult task. It's good to reconnect with you. Your grand children are adorable. It's hard to believe Travis is already 4.

We just got news that our oldest daughter has passed away in her sleep in Scotland and arrangements are being made to take care of things. She was not feeling well a few days before so we are waiting for results of autopsy before some family members go to Scotland. We are all in shock. She was such a lovely person and so loved by everyone.

I haven't blogged since April and my blog is set on private. It seems that only a handful are still blogging regularly.
Hugs,
Julia
