It certainly felt like a typical New England summer day, hazy hot and humid. But, there is a change a coming. This evening while watching the local news, the weatherman informed us our day's are getting shorter. That would be one hour and thirty-nine minutes shorter. It's true my friends autumn is creeping upon us!

Cool picture Julie. So true that autumn is creeping up on us minute by minute. I didn't think I would say this but I think I am ready. I also think I now know that it is spring and fall that I love, summer wears me out!
I love the photo Julie...I hate to think about the end of summer for you! But with all that rain it should be a spectualr fall! And think of all the beauitful photos you'll post!!
And we thought we'd just started our real summer. Oh well,... maybe next year, right? I am actually ready to go back to work at the school,... did I really say THAT? So much free time is fine but I miss the routine. Welcome fall!
I didn't realise you used the word autumn over there Julie. Lovely dreamy photo of the birch? with the sun shining through. Like Rural Rambler, my fav times of year are Spring and Autumn.
Another summer day, but I am afraid there will not be many more. I love the months May-December, the other four not so much.
Yes, it is hazy, hot and humid, isn't it? I must agree with you, I'm not too fond of the dead of the winter months either. Winter in Maine is just too long!
That a great picture and I enjoyed the pictures from Sturbridge Village too! It's been a few years since we've been there but I have taken pictures of the same great houses. LOL!
Enjoy the rest of your week and stay cool. :)
Hugs~ Birgit
