REALIZATION~

I have come to the realization that life is short and winter is long...sharing is not in a squirrel's repertoire...hoarding shows can be addictive...keeping up with highlights in one's hair is imperative to mental well being...
it is better to stick to what one knows when cooking a pot roast...always allow your husband to make the gravy... three hearts are the only valentine's decorations I own...
my joy of rug hooking has been misplaced...if you find it kindly return to owner... I have will power...no pie...no cookie...no brownie has passed these lips... it is early in the Weight Watcher's game plan...I'm giving it my all...two days till weigh in...ugh...old blind dogs can still maintain some form of naughtiness...be still my heart...the face of a guilty dog...my hens are spoiled...very spoiled...their preference...to be hand fed...
after dropping a log on my ankle...I realized... I swear like a sailor...hats off to the Pats ...and I do not...repeat...do not care for Newt....goodnight from Dog Trot Farm...

You and me both and I never can figure out how on earth he thinks he qualifies for president when he doesn't qualify for a husband. Okay I won't say anything else.
Really, You are on W.W. and two day to weigh in? Way to go. Did they let you join for free as way of encouragement to others? My chickens are spoiled too. I let them go out in the garden with me while I walk and they get to scratch and watch me. Mine are a little grumpy as I am out of cracked corn. Dropping a log on my leg I would sound like a sailor on leave.
I hope your hooking mojo returns. I have my two rugs drawn on backing.I stare at my cutter and have yet to pick up a hook.
You made me laugh tonight.
Stay warm.

I hooked my little pillow this weekend but my hooking mojo has been missing We are going to the hook in in Eliot this weekend so hopefully that will light the fire. You have a lot of will power I saw home made bread and home made pie I would be in a carb induced coma by now.

Good luck with the weigh-in. Great pics, as usual. Agree with you about Newt.

I don't care for Newt either...I wish there was someone out there that I really could get behind.

I'm so ready for spring........so ready.

I totally agree with you on Newt...guess time will tell if others agree...scary! The only thing I couldn't agree with you on was that your husband makes the gravy (mine never made gravy & the chickens because I don't have any. Good luck in getting your hooking mojo back. Jan

I'm right there with you Julie on the Newt.
Boy that pie looks good! I know the WW is a good program. I see you were out on the snowshoes too.... that is a wonderful calorie burner and so good for the soul this time of year!
I hope you get your hooking mojo back! It will return... maybe tempt it with some new wool in luscious colors!
Glad to hear Winslow is doing good! He must be getting that tender loving care like the chickens!!
Big hugs from the deep freeze in WI!

Go for it, Julie, you can do 2 more days! I have not, definitely need to. I could easily skip the pie, but good bread~~~~~~^.^~~~~~!
Hope the rug blues run away, and leave you alone!

Enjoyed reading this post, hope the weigh in goes well. I'm glad I'm not American because I can't say that I'm taken with any of your Presidential candidates:) Has Winslow Homer been a naughty boy? Bet he can get away with just about anything!

Hi Julie! Oh, fun! I might need to steal your idea and do some realizations over on my blog. I've been at a loss for new stuff to write about lately, maybe that will get ideas flowing! Love that your chickens are spoiled, too. Wish my rooster was as nice as your's, our Pete Rose just wants to rip off the face of all humans. Be well, peace to you. ~Vonnie

I'm with you on Newt. First of all...what kind of name is that? I hope you find your hooking mojo soon...that's a great rug. Winter is too long and the stress of driving in this weather is aging me. I'm on day 5 of WW. I guess I should stop weighing myself every half hour, huh?
Hugs,
Courtney

I'm glad you have will power because I am seriously lacking in that arena :(
I swear you post the most beautiful pictures! You have an amazing eye at capturing the beauty.
Hugs :)

Love your pictures, Boy I need some will power. Sounds crazy but I wish we could elect dead presidents,a Lincoln or a Jefferson would be nice.

Julie that is alot of realizations! Time for Spring! I am with you on Newt. I can't believe you have lost your hookin' mojo! Those hoarding shows creep me out. I had to stop watching them because I was having bad dreams about them. I can't help but wonder what naughtiness Winslow found his sweet self in.
