Spring fever, that's what it's called. Days lengthen and temperatures climb, sunshine and warm breezes find us. Our mood lightens and we feel energized...I believe animals relish in this feeling too..Take Winslow Homer...early this morning Winslow slipped out the door before I could get a leash on him. Enticed by the scent of a deer or fox, off into the woods he went just as fast as his little legs would carry him...a blind dog has no business in the woods alone...After a few tense minutes his solo jaunt was over...spring fever? and then you have Gladys and Henny...my two Houdinis. Thursday, upon my arrival home I found the girls freely roaming the yard. What in the world, for the life of me I could not figure out how they had gotten out of their pen.Had I left the gate open? Now, If I had not seen this with my own eyes I would not have believed it, but the next day I watched as in unison Gladys and Henny flew up into the air and with their legs hit the latch and pushed the gate open. The whole gang scurried out and acted as if nothing out of the ordinary had occurred...spring fever?
