SNOW

As dusk neared so did the snow, falling to earth like downy feathers. We have not had snow of any significance for over a month now. It is quite lovely outside. As Tasha Tudor once said, "snow takes on the fragrance of apple blossoms" and I do believe she was right. Okay, I talked myself into believing that statement as it makes long winters a little more bearable. The green eyed monster AKA Winslow Homer is sporting a poodle look. As you can see he is none to happy about it. I mean come on, it's February the snowiest month of the year, and after all we do live in Maine.
Winslow you had better toughen up winter still has a ways to go.

Winslow is so cute. The look on his face is adorable! My little 4 lb poodle is not a fan of the snow either. She is not going to be happy tomorrow morning...forecast says over 1 foot to fall overnight!

HA! I love it. Poor little guy. I think I am feeling lucky right about now that I don't have to deal with so much snow.

Oh dear. Please tell Winslow Homer that Roxy Louise gets those *exact* same snowballs caught in her fur. Such a pain. She sometimes looks like a marshmallow with eyes when she gets back inside. Also, the coordinating white of the snow against his brown coat is quite stunning. Roxy is quite enamored.

You *will* tell him all this, right? :-)

Winslow Homer cracks me up. I love the suggestion of snow flakes smelling like apple blossoms. Almost, and I mean ALMOST makes me not want to throttle the weather guys/gals with their next forecast for snow here in our little bit of country. So, Julie you sell your hooked rugs?! Very interesting :)

I don't blame Winslow, those snowballs can be a bit tiring.

He sure is cute!

Aw...poor Winslow! Our lil' Schnauzer gets those crazy snowballs to! I think I need to invent some type of snow boots for lil' dogs! :) Thanks for sharing! Kim

Winslow, my Lily feels your pain. She comes in after a wet snow with snowballs just like you. Poor thing doesn't like it one bit either. If it's really bad I'll dunk her legs in a bucket of warm water but she hates that too.

Hard to believe we're coming into March soon! The Daff's will be popping up before you know it! Of course they're calling for more snow next week . . .
