The sun did not shine today, but the temperature was above freezing. From -55 degree wind chill to 34 degrees! Still a long way to go and more cold weather to come before Spring...~sigh~

What a beautiful shot, Julie. I am going to go out later to cut some forsythia to force. Time for a little brilliant yellow!

What a beautiful photo! Here on Maryland's eastern shore, we've had record breaking temps on both ends of the thermometer in the past week. Single digits on Tuesday, sixties today. That's the recipe for mud. Wiping paws is a full time job these days. Would prefer a proper winter to this cold/warm roller coaster. Going to follow your lead and force some forsythia to cheer us.

It's a reminder that Spring isn't all that far away - we need to have something to hold on to at this stage of the winter! :)

We've been so busy with moving and settling that I fear I've not kept up with the blog reading as I normally would. Thank you for stopping over to check on me, I appreciate it! I'm sorry to hear that Don Juan has passed too. The cold snap here didn't take any chickens from us, but my roo got a bit of frost bite on his comb. This warmer bought has me looking forward to spring for sure, I'm ready to get gardening and raising new chicks. I love the apron shot, very nice indeed! ~Vonnie
